About Me
My name is Samrat Sahoo and I am currently a Junior in Frisco's Independent Study Mentorship Program (ISM) studying computer science. As an only child, technology has always served as a substitute for a sibling. Despite this, my ardor for computer science was something I had always overlooked until the freshman year of high school. Upon discovering the wonders of computer science and the effect it had on the very technology I tinkered with, I had fallen in love with the field.
My mission in ISM is to contribute to solving day to day issues through integrating computer science into solutions while developing a prominent personal brand. By going through this journey, I hope to portray myself as a growing developer, self-driven creator, and impactful leader. Synthesizing my extensive experience within computer science with my hopes and dreams of leaving the world better than I found it, I have a desire to not only create noteworthy software but spread my applications in an effort to enhance the way people live. This year in ISM, I have decided to to focus on the subtopic of natural language processing: understanding human language using computers. This online portfolio showcases my progress through this year's research study as I aim to develop a significant product for the computer science industry.
